Digital Media Arts College Receives State Award
Al McCloy takes home top award
from the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges
TAMPA, FL – Oct. 11, 2011 – Al McCloy of Career Path Training Corp. in Tampa and board member of The Digital Media Arts College in Boca Raton, FL, has received top honors from the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC), a statewide organization representing more than 200 career-oriented schools.
McCloy was the recipient of the 2011 Jack H. Jones Lifetime Achievement Award, which was presented at the FAPSC Annual Conference in August. The award is given out to one individual each year for his or her leadership, contributions and dedication to the association.
“Al’s leadership over a decade grew our organization, established diversity and created partnerships. His commitment never waivered in helping students and schools enjoy the opportunities they have today,” said Kathy Mizereck, executive director of FAPSC.
Fourteen annual awards were selected by a panel and handed out during the FAPSC Annual Conference in South Florida attended by more than 460 administrators and faculty members.
The Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) works on behalf of all Florida’s degree granting and non-degree granting career schools and colleges. Licensed by the state, these schools educate and prepare more than 379,000 students each year for employment in more than 200 occupational fields.
